Autodesk entertainment creation suite ultimate 2014 free. Autodesk Debuts 2014 Entertainment Creation Suite
It contains most of the software required for my animation classes and how can you beat the student rate, other than using the free version. This suite is great, especially for learning. It comes with 3DS Max, Maya, and Softimage, so you can try all three and see which one suits you best, or learn all three and maximize your employability. You can get the versions and earlier for free from the Autodesk website. However, those are only 3-year licenses, while this suite gives you a permanent license.
If you're still an "education" customer after 3 years, you can get another free 3-year license. Unfortunately, it looks like Autodesk has stopped issuing these permanent licenses, so this suite is the last chance to get one.
